NICHOLAS JAMIESON ARCHITECT

Forest Hill Extension

Two journalists asked us to design a kitchen extension for their 1930s house. The before-and-after photos at the bottom of this page show how something surprisingly spacious and attractive can be made from an unpromising beginning: it’s difficult to believe the two photographs were taken from exactly the same place! We designed the layout of the kitchen, including the locations of appliances, and what to store where. The details and finishes were left to be chosen by our client and their joiner.
